Trinity examinations board marked its continued support for composer Sir James MacMillan and The Cumnock Tryst music festival by hosting a one-off event featuring Dame Evelyn Glennie and Sir James together with young musicians from across East Ayrshire.
Taking place at the stunning location of Dumfries House, the young musicians were treated to workshops and improvisation sessions with Sir James and Dame Evelyn. The young people then had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform what they had learned in an evening concert, alongside the two inspirational musicians and composers.
As part of the event Sir James also announced the programme for the 2022 Cumnock Tryst festival.
