Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra (SNYCO) is inviting young musicians to apply for the orchestra’s annual auditions.
SNYCO is an orchestra organised under the Ministry of Education’s (MOE) National Project of Excellence (NPOE). Every year, recruitment is open to tertiary and arts institutions, and also mainstream primary and secondary schools.
SNYCO holds three major ticketed concerts annually and performs in outreach and educational concerts in neighbourhood schools, the Singapore heartlands and communities. Not only do these concerts give the musicians more performance opportunities and stage experience, they also help to promote Chinese music to the communities.
Applications to audition for the 2023/4 membership period opened on 18 March 2023 and will close on 14 July. The auditions take place between 21-27 August in Singapore Conference Hall.
