Ben Andrew and David Denning, the UK developers of ScaleTracks, an app which supports students practising scales and arpeggios by providing harmonisations, have launched JAM for budding improvisers.
The new JAM app is suitable for beginners to experienced jamming musicians and, in addition to featuring comprehensive guitar tabs, provides notation suitable for other instrumentalists. Players can jam using their own instruments or within the app itself using the built-in keyboard. There is a range of jam track styles including a full symphony orchestra, blues band, pop band and other ensembles.
As well as launching at the Music & Drama Education Expo, which runs from 22-23 February 2018 at Olympia in London, the app will be available on the App Store and can be downloaded here.
