Opera in lockdown: new Saturday sessions for 3-8-year-olds from WNO

WNO Play Opera

Welsh National Opera (WNO) has announced ‘Play Opera’, a new weekly series which introduces children aged 3-8 to the world of opera and its music.

Designed to support families under lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Play Opera invites children to meet members of WNO Orchestra and Chorus as well as people behind the scenes who talk about the nuts and bolts of costumes, make-up, staging and production.

WNO invites Play Opera audience members to send photos and videos via social media tagging with the hashtag #WNOchallenge, with the best designs being featured in the show.

Play Opera takes place at 10am BST every Saturday. Visit the WNO website for more information.
