Online music lessons for pupils across Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS) is offering virtual music lessons to existing pupils across the county in partnership with Musictutors.co.uk

Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS) is offering online music lessons during the Covid-19 crisis so that existing pupils can continue instrumental and vocal lessons with their teachers at home.

In partnership with Musictutors.co.uk, a specialist online learning platform, HMS will offer virtual music lessons to over 16,000 existing young musicians across the county.

HMS has also agreed a partnership deal with music education organisations Sing Up! and Charanga, enabling every Hertfordshire school pupil to access their platforms for free until September 2021.

Ben Stevens, Director of Music for HMS, said:

‘Hertfordshire Music Service is committed to finding ways to support schools and all our students to continue their musical journey whilst schools remain closed.

‘We are very excited about the possibilities for online teaching and looking at how it can develop our ambition at HMS to support everyone to express themselves through music-making of any kind.’

Alex Wibrew, CEO of Musictutors.co.uk, said:

‘We are delighted to be working with Hertfordshire Music Service. Our online classroom is ready to go and we look forward to welcoming the teachers and students of Hertfordshire into our secure system for online music lessons.’
