Northern Ireland arts venues offered £7.75 million emergency funding

Peace Bridge in Derry, Northern Ireland

Venues and arts organisations across Northern Ireland can apply for up to £500,000 each from a new fund agreed by the Northern Ireland Executive.

Arts Council Northern Ireland will be administering the fund, known as the Stability and Renewal Scheme and applications will be accepted until 27 November. Decisions on how the money is allocated will be made at the end of January 2021.

The funding will come via the Northern Ireland Department for Communities along with a further £5.5 million for heritage projects. ACNI has already closed the applications for the Artists Emergency Programme and Individuals Emergency Resilience Programme, which had distributed £3 million to over 1000 individual arts professionals.

All organisations can contact the Arts Council for advice before applying and each case will be judged on merit.
