The American Music Business Association ’s three day summit for young and up-coming music industry professionals runs from 23-25 February with ideas and discussions, talks and workshops.

The main topics for this, the second Music Biz NEXTGEN_U conference, include music jobs you may not have considered, how to work in A&R while still a student, the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship, mental health in a stressful industry, dealing with executives and how to create change in diversity and inclusion.

The keynote speakers for the event are Jade Driver and Cassie Petrey, co-founders of Nashville-based music marketing company, Crowd Surf. They will be joined by about 40 speakers from across all segments of the music industry.

One panel will be led entirely by students to discuss the silver linings they’ve found during the year of the pandemic and the job opportunities that have been created by it.

Although tickets cost up to US$49 plus US$4.07 fees, any students suffering particular financial hardships may request partial or full sponsorship by Music Biz by filling in the form here.
