The Independent Society of Musicians Trust (ISM Trust) has published a free online resource to help teachers introduce singing in their classrooms. The Primary Singing Toolkit has been developed by the ISM Trust in partnership with UK charity The Voices Foundation, supported by the Schools Music Association.
The toolkit aims to support non-specialist and specialist primary teachers in finding their voice and sharing the joy of singing with their students. The resource is available online, free of charge, and consists of 14 videos that offer almost two hours of content, as well as downloadable lesson plans. The singing strategies are led by Voices Foundation Choral Director Charles MacDougall and Musicianship Director Jenny Trattles.
