Representatives from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and China’s Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) met in Beijing on 22 March to discuss the future of the partnership between the two organisations.
The NAFA delegation included the Dean of the Faculty of Performing Arts, Dr Ernest Lim, the Associate Dean of the School of Music, Dr Nellie Seng, and the Head of Chinese Instrumental Studies, Wong Sun Tat. The CCOM group was led by CCOM President Professor Yu Feng, and included Li Xiaoman, Secretary-General of the Graded Exam Committee, and Tao Qian, Director of the International Exchange Office.
The two institutions discussed new avenues for growth, with a focus on emerging interdisciplinary practices in music and artificial intelligence. Both NAFA and CCOM are committed to enhancing their world-class curricula in music education while continuing to develop cultural synergies between China and Singapore.
