Denis Sulta and DJ Mag have launched a DJ and production scholarship in conjunction with Point Blank Music School, the DJ, production, broadcasting and music business school established in London in 1994.

Denis Sulta X DJ Mag Future Stars Scholarship is a £9,250 effective fee-waiver for each of the three years of Point Blank’s BA (Hons) in Music Production and DJ Practice for one person.

It is open to applicants from all backgrounds, especially those who feel they face difficulties accessing the music world through disability, cultural background and/or socio-economic status.

Applications must be received by the end of October and finalists will be offered a virtual interview with Denis Sulta in November. The winner will be announced on 24 November 2021.

Glaswegian DJ Sulta, whose real name is Hector Barbour, is a recipient of the DJ Mag Best of British Best DJ Award and has performed across the world. Over the last decade he has become a major influence in dance music production. He will choose the winning scholar from a shortlist assembled by Point Blank and DJ Mag. Point Blank was also named the best music production school in the world by DJ Mag, so the alliance between all three is understandable.
