MediaSoundHamburg postponed to 2021

The organisers of the annual MediaSoundHamburg (MSH) summer school for film music, games music and sound design have announced the postponement of the event until August 2021.

MSH Director Hans-Joachim Esser-Mamat said:

‘A few weeks ago we still believed that we would be able to celebrate the 10th anniversary of MediaSoundHamburg in August as planned. The current crisis caused by Covid-19 has worsened worldwide. The entry of participants, scholarship holders and lecturers from non-EU countries into Germany is virtually impossible. Furthermore, the locations in Hamburg booked for the implementation of planned events are not available to us for the planned period or are subject to strict security requirements, which we cannot meet for the implementation of MediaSoundHamburg. For this reason, we have decided to postpone this year’s International summer school until next year.’

All scholarships for 2020 will remain valid for the 2021 edition of the event.

MSH is planning a series of live online events, the first of which takes place on 20 August.

MediaSoundHamburg 2021 takes place from 10-15 August.
