m4d Radio launched by Music for Dementia

Music for Dementia ambassador, Lauren Laverne, will kick off the launch of m4d Radio with a #Song4You social media video campaign

Music for Dementia has announced the launch of m4d Radio, which will bring meaningful music direct to the homes of people living with dementia.

Listeners can tune in to a group of five stations via the internet 24 hours a day and choose their birth year to find music that has meaning for them.

Four of the stations play music from the 30s-40s, 50s, 60s and 70s while the fifth is a Mix station containing music from all decades, making it ideal for larger groups in care home settings.

The programme content includes:

  • music to move to
  • music from musicals
  • featured artists
  • soothing tracks for night-time listening

Music for Dementia ambassador, Lauren Laverne, will kick off the launch of m4d Radio with a #Song4You social media video campaign.

She and other celebrities have pledged their support by dedicating a song to a person close to them who has been affected by dementia.
