As the arts education sector continues to react to the pandemic, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama has launched seven online short courses to its offering.
An intermediate level course on Music Production in Logic Pro X, the first in a series of Jazz History courses and a Beginner’s Guide to Marketing and PR in the Creative Industries are among the diverse subjects covered.
Guildhall School staff members and guest tutors will host the lessons, which will be held on Zoom. The lessons will be streamed live from late January to early March on Tuesday evenings, UK time.
A limited number of Participation Bursaries are available and the Guildhall offers a variety of free opportunities to support applicants from under-represented backgrounds.
The pandemic has given the opportunity for many educational institutions to raise the profile of online teaching.
The Guildhall School had already honed its skills in this field, attracting over 1000 students from across 60 countries, and has already moved its most popular short courses online, giving students around the world access to the renowned London school, which again ranked as one of the top ten performing arts institutions in the world in this year’s QS World University Rankings.
Further details about the courses can be found here.
