Oxfordshire Music Education Partnership (OMEP – the Music Education Hub for Oxfordshire) provides and signposts a wide range of music services and tuition to young people (and some adults) in Oxfordshire.

OMEP’s work includes delivery of the government’s whole class instrumental programme in primary schools as well as individual and small group lessons, specialist teaching in primary and special schools, curriculum support and advice, a full programme of weekend and evening music schools, holiday courses for young musicians at all stages of learning, workshops, community projects and high level ensemble activities. OMEP also offers an enhanced academic provision for particularly gifted young musicians.

Milton Keynes Music Education Hub is an organisation led by MKC Community Learning MK Music Faculty consisting of schools and key partners that are responsible for music education and music-making across MK.

Kent Music is a music education charity committed to providing music opportunities to individuals, schools and groups across Kent, through individual lessons; whole class instrumental teaching; local and county-wide ensembles and choirs; teacher training; and through creating and supporting special music projects and events.

Kent Music is also the lead partner for the Music Education Hub for Kent.

They work closely with schools and other partners in Kent and further afield to deliver a wide range of both in- and out-of-school programmes, designed to give children and young people the opportunity to sing, learn to play musical instruments and progress with their music making.

This is done through the development and funding of in-school programmes, county-wide programmes and projects at a local and regional level. The priorities for in-school programmes feature inclusion, progression and innovation with partnership and collaboration central to programme delivery.

West Sussex Music nurtures, inspires and enriches, changing lives through music.

Nearly 180 teachers support over 18,000 children with their music-making across the county’s schools and colleges.

They offer to students includes vocal projects, whole-class ensemble tuition, small group & individual instrumental & vocal tuition and rock & pop sessions, as well as a comprehensive range of musical activities based at our Music Centres.

West Sussex Music is dedicated to supporting schools and teachers to achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils, their families, and the community. Through their curriculum support, professional development opportunities and facilitating role, West Sussex Music builds music into the fabric of school life.

They also supports projects that enable access to cultural opportunities for disadvantaged and disaffected young people through their partnerships with others.

The Berkshire Music Hub is a dynamic partnership made up of strategic local, regional and national music organisations, individual professional musicians and artists as well as all schools and Unitary Authorities.

National and regional partners 2016-17 include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Singers, BBC Concert Orchestra, Sing Healthy, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Bristol Pre-Conservatoire, Ruth Ascher Foundation, Reading Arts, Reading Scottish Pipe Band, Beenham Wind Orchestra, Windsor Festival, Readipop and Reading Rock Academy as well as individual professional composers, performers and conductors.

Other partners range from charitable trusts, independent schools and colleges, community arts organisations, small businesses, national providers of music equipment and technology, local and national music retailers e.g. Dawkes, Howarths of London, Hogan Music, Philip Brown Violins, Henry Potter & Co, Bell Percussion plus the University of Reading and local colleges and choral groups.

Buckinghamshire Music Education Hub responds to the National Plan for Music.

Dynamics – The Medway Music Education Hub

Dynamics supports music education in Medway for children aged 5-18 by providing opportunities for instrumental tuition, ensemble playing and undertaking parts in concerts and events.

Part of the Hub’s aims is to provide high-quality CPD opportunities for teachers to improve the teaching of music in schools. Their CPD programme this year will offer the chance for teachers at FS, KS1 and KS2 to access CPD to develop non-music specialists and cross-curricular music activities.

These sessions are open to all teachers in Medway and they hope as many as possible can take advantage of the CPD they are offering.

East Sussex Music Education Hub has a team of over 70 teachers gives musical instrument lessons and organise choirs, bands, and orchestras for students aged five to 18 in schools and other venues in East Sussex.

ESMEH aims to ensure every child and young person in East Sussex has the opportunity to take part in music making of the highest quality, participating in life-enhancing experiences which are an essential part of every young person’s development.

Lessons take place in schools during the school day and after school at local venues. Students can learn all sorts of instruments from the violin, flute, and trumpet to singing, drum kit, saxophone, and piano

Portsmouth Music Hub is a thriving network of over 40 partner organisations, both within and beyond Portsmouth. Partnership working is at the heart of the ethos of Portsmouth Music Hub and its development and evolution have been embraced by the Hub partners including schools and academies, Portsmouth City Council and the local community.
