  • Music for Health training for RNCM students and CMFT staff
  • commissioned training for professional and voluntary musicians and healthcare students (from Manchester and Salford Universities)

Carmarthenshire Music Service delivers specialist music tuition from professional, highly experienced staff to over 6000 children every week across more than 100 schools in the county.

Every year students of all ages have the opportunity to take part in rehearsals and perform regularly with 26 different ensembles, covering everything from solo opportunities to full Orchestra, and everything in between! Senior students also have the opportunity to audition for regional and national ensembles.

Past ‘Graduates’ of the Music service can be found working professionally in every aspect of the musical world- performing in West end shows, the BBC Philharmonic, and KwaZulu- Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, or headlining with their band on the worldwide Jazz scene.

Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Music Service covers all schools in Cardiff and the Vale.

Our 90 peripatetic music teachers (Peris) cover all instruments and visit 100’s of schools every day to provide music tuition. Over 900 young people are members of the 20 county ensembles: 4 orchestras, 2 Wind Bands, 2 Choirs, 4 Brass Bands, 3 Percussion groups, 2 Jazz Ensembles, 2 Guitar Groups and Symphonic Brass.

The county ensembles exist to give as many pupils as possible the opportunity to play and sing music in a wide variety of styles and in much larger groups than would be viable in schools. Members also have the opportunity to develop the skills required in ensemble playing and are able to take part in concerts at prestigious venues such as St David’s Hall and City Hall, Cardiff.

Oxfordshire Music Education Partnership (OMEP – the Music Education Hub for Oxfordshire) provides and signposts a wide range of music services and tuition to young people (and some adults) in Oxfordshire.

OMEP’s work includes delivery of the government’s whole class instrumental programme in primary schools as well as individual and small group lessons, specialist teaching in primary and special schools, curriculum support and advice, a full programme of weekend and evening music schools, holiday courses for young musicians at all stages of learning, workshops, community projects and high level ensemble activities. OMEP also offers an enhanced academic provision for particularly gifted young musicians.

Kent Music is a music education charity committed to providing music opportunities to individuals, schools and groups across Kent, through individual lessons; whole class instrumental teaching; local and county-wide ensembles and choirs; teacher training; and through creating and supporting special music projects and events.

Kent Music is also the lead partner for the Music Education Hub for Kent.

The Berkshire Music Hub is a dynamic partnership made up of strategic local, regional and national music organisations, individual professional musicians and artists as well as all schools and Unitary Authorities.

Buckinghamshire Music Education Hub

Dynamics supports music education in Medway for children aged 5-18 by providing opportunities for instrumental tuition, ensemble playing and undertaking parts in concerts and events.

Part of the Hub’s aims is to provide high-quality CPD opportunities for teachers to improve the teaching of music in schools. Their CPD programme this year will offer the chance for teachers at FS, KS1 and KS2 to access CPD to develop non-music specialists and cross-curricular music activities.

These sessions are open to all teachers in Medway and they hope as many as possible can take advantage of the CPD they are offering.
