Kodály Institute introduces non-degree study programme from September 2020

Kodaly Institute Kecskemet

The Kodály Institute in Kecskemét, Hungary (a department of the Liszt Academy) has announced a more diverse non-degree study programme leading to a Certificate of Studies.

According to the Institute, by structuring a wider range of subjects to better suit students with different musical  backgrounds, the new scheme, which replaces the current single one-year Diploma course. creates more flexibility for participants.

There are three study packages:

The programme also serves as a preparatory course for those aiming to join the BA Degree Course at the Institute.

A special emphasis is given to the theory and Hungarian application of the Kodály Concept in the full span of musical training, from early years to university level. The students will have an overview of the most successful international adaptation examples of the concept. The programme also serves as a preparatory course for those targeting the MA Degree Course at the Institute.
