The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is seeking a Principal to lead its artistic, academic and organisational development.
Scotland’s national conservatoire brings together music, drama, dance, production, film and education on its Glasgow campus, working with artistic organisations and communities nationally and internationally.
The Principal will work with the Board, staff and students to shape the institution’s future and sustain its finances. Responsibilities include leading the Senior Management Team, maintaining academic standards, championing the student experience, developing income and partnerships, and representing the Conservatoire to funders, government and the arts sector.
Candidates may come from artistic, academic or other professional backgrounds. They should offer recognised achievement, senior leadership experience, financial and commercial understanding, and an international outlook. A commitment to inclusion and performing arts education is essential, alongside an accessible and compassionate leadership style.
