The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB) – the UK’s most exciting, innovative and accessible organisation for young choral singers – is seeking a new Chair to succeed Professor Chris Higgins when his term expires in May 2021.

NYCGB’s mission is to inspire and empower young people throughout the UK through the life-changing experience of singing together. A national champion for youth choral music, standing for artistic excellence, creative diversity and openness and relevance to all, NYCGB is supported by Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation.

The new Chair will work alongside the Chief Executive and Artistic Director to provide strategic leadership and ensure that NYCGB achieves its aims. They should have a commitment to, and passion for, excellence in music and for music’s contribution to the education and well-being of all young people regardless of background and circumstance.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to a national organisation which continues to grow in ambition, reach and profile.
