Genesis Sixteen 2019-20 applications open

World-renowned choral ensemble, The Sixteen, has opened applications for the 2019-20 cohort of its free young artists’ scheme, Genesis Sixteen.

World-renowned choral ensemble, The Sixteen, has opened applications for its Genesis Sixteen 2019-20 cohort.

To be eligible for the scheme, singers must be aged 18-23 on Sunday 25 August 2019 and have regular singing lessons and a passion for choral singing. The deadline for applications is Monday 28 January 2019.

About Genesis Sixteen 2019-20

Genesis Sixteen is The Sixteen’s free young artists’ scheme which aims to nurture the next generation of talented ensemble singers.

During the course of 2019-20, a series of week-long and weekend courses will be led by key figures from The Sixteen, including Founder and Conductor, Harry Christophers, and Associate Conductor, Eamonn Dougan.

Participants will receive group tuition, individual mentoring and masterclasses run by some of the industry’s top vocal experts. Thanks to a close partnership with the Genesis Foundation, participants will not only receive free tuition but also a bursary to cover all additional costs.
