Tring Park Commercial Music Summer Course

Tring Park’s Commercial Music Summer Course will give students a chance to develop their song writing artistry as well as try out new writing techniques to find their musical voice.

Working with Tring Park’s highly experienced teachers and industry professionals, participants will undertake classes in live performance, ensemble skills, songwriting and music production.

The residential course will provide opportunities for young people to broaden their music experience, develop their artistry and craft, and share their enjoyment of music-making with others whilst connecting with new like-minded new friends. The course will give participants insight into the training on the Commercial Music course at the school.

Who is the course for?

The course is open to all instrumentalists and vocalists; however, participants must be of grade 3 standard (minimum) on their main instrument.

Evening activities are provided and include open mic nights, a quiz night and a talent contest in the on-site Markova Theatre. There is also a trip to a London or regional venue to see a show or gig. Meals are provided for all pupils. Pastoral and student helpers are on-site at all times to assist the teaching staff and to ensure that everyone has a great time. Parents are invited to watch a presentation of work on the final day of the course.
