Rehearsal Orchestra: Stravinsky Symphony in Three Movements
About the event
Commissioned by the New York Philharmonic and completed in 1945, the Symphony in Three Movements was the first major work Stravinsky composed after emigrating to America. This bright, exuberant music leaves behind the primordial jabs of The Rite of Spring to enter the world of Neoclassicism. A great start to the New Year!
Conductor: Levon Parikian
