About the event
Join us for a visit to Spain in music commissioned by Diaghilev for the Ballets Russes (and choreographed by Massine), first performed in 1919 in London. Unmistakably Spanish in origin and style, the piece is infused with the spicy flamenco rhythms and modal harmony of Andalusian folk music. Bring on the castanets (and orchestra-clapping)!

Applications are invited from players at Grade 8 plus with good sightreading (or the desire to improve sightreading skills!).
Each course finishes with an Open Rehearsal.
