The Certificate for Music Educators (CME): Early Childhood
The Certificate for Music Educators (CME): Early Childhood offers a flexible, part-time, distance-learning qualification in early childhood music.
The CME is a recognised National Qualification validated by Trinity College London.
Overview
This course has been designed to develop high-quality educators to work in early childhood music and is an ideal precursor to our highly successful Early Years Music Education MA module.
The CME: Early Childhood is equivalent to a Level 4 NVQ / Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) / Higher National Certificate (HNC).
The course will be facilitated by the same team behind our EY Music MA module and will benefit from direct contributions from Dr Susan Young and Dr Jessica Pitt, both well-known and highly successful early childhood music educators and researchers.
As well as the invaluable input from Dr Young and Dr Pitt, the course will also have a strong team of mentors, all of which have completed the CREC MA programme and are currently working as early childhood music educators in a range of organisations including universities, regional arts organisations and music education hubs.
