What is Sing Up Day?

Every year since 2010, the UK national singing organisation, Sing Up, has set aside an extra special day to celebrate the power of song and spread a little singing.

From the UK to the UAE and the US to China, schools and singers around the whole world join us on Sing Up Day. Every year, we commission a brand new Sing Up Day anthem with resources and activity ideas to help you integrate the song into your school day and help put singing at the heart of your school life.

All Sing Up Day materials are free to download because we want the whole world to join in and feel the power of singing on Sing Up Day.

Groups from across the world from Primary Schools to Secondary Schools, community choirs to families and individuals share their Sing Up Day celebration events on our interactive map and we also collect recordings of schools singing our Sing Up Day anthem to create a very special Digichoir.

On 30 June 2021, singers all over the world celebrated Sing Up Day. Over 24,200 pupils in 195 schools performed Emily Barden’s inspiring anthem, ‘(We are) Unstoppable’ across 15 countries and 5 continents.
