Pulling Out The Stops
Pulling Out The Stops is a friendly, three-day residential course for young musicians taking their first steps on the pipe organ. It is designed for beginner organists up to Grade 5 and pianists who would like to try the instrument.
Participants will take part in inspiring classes with experienced organists on instruments in and around Oundle, join an “organ crawl” in Cambridge and hear performances by their tutors. Accommodation, meals and pastoral care are provided at Oundle School, with opportunities to meet other young musicians.
The 2027 course runs from Wednesday 31 March to Friday 2 April. The fee is £395, with bursaries available. Applications close on Friday 5 March 2027 and should include a reference from the applicant’s regular organ or piano teacher. Early booking is advised.
Who this event is for
Young musicians aged approximately 10–15 with some keyboard experience, including beginner organists up to Grade 5 and pianists who want to try the pipe organ.
