Music Teachers Association Annual Conference
The Music Teachers Association is passionate about building, strengthening and developing the music in your school. Our 2020 Conference for Music Teachers will be at St Paul’s School, London from 15-16 May. Please join us.
Our theme for 2020 is Working together creatively. With twin strands of composition and partnership we will explore how we can use creative work to bring schools and partners together and to ensure that we reflect on our composition offering to pupils at all levels.
The Music Teachers’ Conference is a widely respected annual gathering of professionals in music education with a comprehensive and diverse programme of some of the best speakers in the UK. Hosted by a teaching member/member school, the atmosphere is always friendly but professional on a weekend where contacts are made, ideas are nurtured and horizons expanded.
The choice of sessions is always comprehensive (over 26) with tailored wisdom for all areas of teaching in a school music department, from music administrators and instrumental teachers to classroom and heads of department. The Conference includes all meals and refreshments including the Conference (black tie) Dinner with entertainment. The conference trade fair is always a lively hub of activity with some thirty corporate members giving in-depth advice and showcasing the latest instruments, products and scores.
However, networking is one of the key reasons that members attend and the opportunity to share good practice and ideas with colleagues from a wide range of schools, organisations and corporates is invaluable.
