Creative Oundle for Organists Summer School
Creative Oundle for Organists’ Summer School offers a week of intensive tuition and shared music-making for young organists aged approximately 14–20, from Grade 6 through diploma standard. Classes with experienced tutors focus on repertoire and keyboard skills, with opportunities to play a variety of organs in and around Oundle and Cambridge.
Students can hear tutor performances, try or develop their conducting in choir rehearsals, and take part in the COfO Eucharist on Sunday 22 August. The week concludes with an informal student concert at 2pm that Sunday in Oundle School Chapel. Accommodation, meals and pastoral care are provided at Oundle School.
The 2027 course runs from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 August. The fee is £875, with bursaries available. There is no fixed application deadline, but early booking is strongly advised; bursary applicants are encouraged to apply early because funds are limited. Applications should include a reference from the applicant’s regular organ teacher. A £200 deposit is due within two weeks of acceptance and the full balance by 12 May; different payment arrangements apply to bursary applicants.
