British Army Music: GCSE Music Analysis Day
British Army Music is hosting a GCSE Music Analysis Day with musical support from the Band of the Coldstream Guards at Norden Farm.
The day is designed to support GCSE students with revision points for musical analysis ahead of their exams. The morning will be broken into sessions focussing on analytical and aural perception skills as well as looking at musical time periods. The afternoon will put everything into practice, with the opportunity to use analytical skills in real-time as the Band of the Coldstream Guards perform music in line with the GCSE standard.
The day is not tied to a specific examination board and doesn’t use set works; however, we have taken set works from across the main boards and used them as a guide as to what the students will need to listen to in their upcoming exams.
