Chineke! bring their spirited and stylish approach to performing the great classics to this concert.

The orchestra gave its first concert at Queen Elizabeth Hall in 2015 and, now an Associate Orchestra at Southbank Centre, returns with a popular programmed conducted by Wayne Marshall.

Compelling composer and conductor Eric Whitacre performs an all-American programme, including pieces by Bernstein, John Adams and Copland.

The Rehearsal Orchestra’s 2019 London weekend series kicks off with Artistic Director Levon Parikian directing a two-day course on Stravinsky’s Petrushka and Scherzo à la Russe.

  • Rehearsals take place in the evening on Saturday and all day Sunday, culminating in early evening open rehearsal.
  • Applications are invited from players who are Grade 8 plus and good sightreaders (or keen to improve their sightreading!).
