Calling all ambitious young wind players!

Would you like to perform with musicians from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, make new friends and develop your musicianship?

Join us for our first SCO Wind Academy in partnership with St Mary’s Music School – a free opportunity for you to work with expert Scottish Chamber Orchestra musicians over a series of three Sunday afternoon sessions in the centre of Edinburgh. The course is open to school-aged flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and French horn players who have reached at least Grade 6 standard and who are able to commit to all three sessions. Come and explore familiar repertoire as well as some less well-known music for wind ensembles.

SCO String Academy participants in March 2019 told us it was fun, a great way to make friends and to learn new repertoire from inspiring musicians. Make sure you apply as soon as possible as places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
