Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama presents Steinway International Piano Series: Nikolai Demidenko

Event Description

The great Russian-born pianist Nikolai Demidenko has been called “a force of nature”, but there’s also a poetic side to his artistry, and sonatas by Mozart and Scarlatti – by turns playful and melancholy – will show it to the full.

Audiences in his concert – presented by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama – will bear witness to this amazing combination of strength and poetry.

About TOSE-in-a-Day

Teenage organists who are coming on or considering The Organ Student Experience (TOSE) course in Cambridge in July will find this an excellent preparatory day, whilst those not quite ready for TOSE (c.grade 5–grade 6) will benefit from the focussed tuition across a range of discplines which most organists need to master.

What you can expect from this day

  • Two sessions of repertoire coaching on Baroque and later music
  • Coaching on keyboard skills such as sight reading, transposition and score reading
  • A session on choral conducting and accompaniment

You will mostly be taught in graded groups.

The organs

The organs are all in London’s West End and within a few minutes’ walk of Oxford Circus underground station
