7th International Conference on Narrative Inquiry in Music Education

October 15, 2020 @ 8:30 am - October 16, 2020 @ 1:30 pm EDT
Virtual Event

The 7th International Conference on Narrative Inquiry in Music Education (NIME7) will be held online on 15 and 16 October 2020, co-hosted by Brock University and University of Toronto. The theme of the conference is Trauma, Resilience, and (Re)Engagement in Music Education.

There will not be a registration fee due to the conference being housed virtually on Microsoft Teams. However, it will be necessary for conference presenters and anyone interested to sign-up via a Microsoft Form. The sign-up will be open from Thursday, 1 October until Friday, 9 October 2020.

This conference is designed to accommodate the larger public which extends beyond our academic communities.

We look forward to your participation while we continue the global work in the field of Narrative Inquiry in Music Education as stories, narratives, and experiences are shared, related to the timely conference theme.

For technical inquiries, please contact Anneke McCabe, Conference Planning Research Assistant at am17tb@brocku.ca. Please do not hesitate to contact the organizers directly at NIME7@brocku.ca.

Co-chairs, Dr Shelley Griffin (Brock University) and Dr Nasim Niknafs (University of Toronto) are delighted to share that they have secured Professors Joshua D. Pilzer, University of Toronto, and Darlene Ciuffetelli Parker, Brock University to be the Keynote Speakers.
