Jennifer Raven has been Programme Manager at Sound Connections since 2014. As well as leading on Sound Connections Youth Voice and Social Justice programmes, she oversees the organisation’s consultancy service, including a wide range of evaluation projects for arts organisations, venues and music education hubs. She also has responsibility for Sound Connections’ own evaluation planning, monitoring processes and impact reporting. As a consultant, her areas of expertise are in impact measurement, research and strategy. Outside of her work at Sound Connections, she is Development Director of Fairbeats! Music, a charity with a focus on music-making with young refugees, asylum seekers and new migrant communities.

Abigail D’Amore is an independent music education consultant with client organisations, including PMLL, Friday Afternoons, NYMAZ, Surrey Arts and West Midlands Music Services Collective and as an Associate of Sound Connections. Abigail is a school governor of Hallow C of E Primary School (Worcestershire), Trustee of Music Mark and the Young Voices Foundation, and an Ambassador for Education Support Partnership. She was formerly Chief Executive of Musical Futures, which was recognised as one of the Finnish Hundred top global innovations in 2017.

Jennifer Raven is Programme Manager at Sound Connections and one aspect of her role is overseeing the organisation’s Youth Voice and Participation work, which centres around Wired4Music, the network for people age 16-25. She has delivered Youth Voice training to a range of Hubs, arts and heritage organisations and is regularly invited to speak on the topic at conferences. Previously, she worked for education charity Ark Schools and co-founded Fairbeats, a charity with a focus on music-making with young refugees and new migrant communities.

Lawrence Becko is a consultant and facilitator working with creative people and organisations. He has worked in the cultural sector for 15 years. He is a specialist in youth voice and participation, and has set up and delivered programmes for a diverse range of arts organisations, including Sound Connections, Roundhouse, Poet in the City and A New Direction, as well as a range of Music Education Hubs and Cultural Education Partnerships. He has extensive experience of diversity and inclusion across music, dance, theatre and visual arts. He is Chair of Fairbeats Music, a refugee charity, and former Vice Chair of Kinetika Bloco, a diverse-led, mixed ability youth carnival. His background is as a professional composer, songwriter and music producer. He mentors emerging artists and has a particular interest in well-being and personal development.
