With less than two weeks to go, Britain’s foremost electronic music event is cancelled as a live event and all tickets carried forward to next year.
All ticket holders will have access to all events of the digital conference on 1 and 2 October, including discussions, seminars, tutorials and DJ sets with such luminaries as Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, Nicole Moudaber, Stanton Warriors, Orbital, Faithless, DJ Rap, Groove Armada and Krafty Cuts.
The event’s organisers, in partnership with Beatport, had already changed the timing of the event three times to suit government Covid restrictions, but the latest changes made it impossible to present a live event.
‘To say the team here at BMC are totally gutted after we got the news on Monday about the new restrictions would be an understatement to say the least,’ read a statement from the organisers. ‘We are still committed to delivering a great conference program with some of the biggest names in the industry despite all the hurdles we have had to overcome over the last six months.’
