Bloomberg Philanthropies extends London Philharmonic Orchestra partnership
Bloomberg Philanthropies will continue its relationship with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for a sixth consecutive year during the LPO's 2026/27 season.
The partnership forms part of Bloomberg Philanthropies' wider engagement with arts and cultural organisations in the UK and internationally.
Announcing the continuation, the LPO said Bloomberg's support helps the Orchestra deliver its artistic and social programme ‘both on and off the concert platform’.
Bloomberg's cultural programmes include Bloomberg Connects, the digital platform providing free guides to more than 1,400 cultural institutions, and the Digital Accelerator for Arts and Culture, which supports nonprofit organisations with investment in digital infrastructure.
The Digital Accelerator focuses on areas including websites, CRM and ticketing systems, digital archives and content creation and distribution. Bloomberg Philanthropies says the programme has now expanded to support nearly 350 cultural organisations.
The LPO is among the organisations participating in the initiative, alongside a wider group of UK cultural institutions.
Bloomberg Philanthropies describes the purpose of the Digital Accelerator as strengthening arts organisations through technology, helping them develop revenue, improve operations and reach new audiences.
The renewed LPO relationship therefore sits within a broader programme of Bloomberg support for cultural organisations combining direct institutional relationships with investment in technology, access and organisational capacity.
