Angelica Suanno to head Accademia Stauffer

The Board of Directors of Fondazione Stauffer in Cremona has appointed Angelica Suanno as the new Academic Director of the Accademia Stauffer, the Stauffer Center for Strings. She will be taking over from Paolo Petrocelli, who moved recently to head Dubai Opera in the United Arab Emirates.

Suanno is the Head of Educational Activities at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and has over 15 years of experience in the music sector.

In her new role, Suanno will be coordinating the Stauffer Center’s staff and continuing to develop the organisation’s diverse educational offer.

Angelica Suanno said, ‘I am honoured by this nomination and would like to express my gratitude to the President and the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Stauffer. The Accademia Stauffer has always been a synonym of excellence in the panorama of high musical specialization, and in recent years it has developed a wide-ranging international profile with innovative and diversified educational proposals of great interest and potential for young musicians. I will be delighted to join the team to continue this journey together.
