As the global classical music industry starts to build back after the Covid-19 pandemic, the organisers of a new international conference for orchestras are inviting participants ‘to look at the key challenges and opportunities that we face now and into the future’ by submitting proposals for the event.
Orchestras Now! Future Proof will take place in Wroclaw, Poland from 6-8 September 2023. Attendees will range ‘from managers to musicians, venues to festivals, labels to broadcasters’ for a programme focussing on in-depth discussion of making the orchestral sector future-proof.
The new event is co-curated by Mark Pemberton, former CEO of the Association of British Orchestras, and Natalia Klingbajl, Deputy Director for Development, NFM Wroclaw.
The organisers are aiming to ‘ensure that the conference schedule is inclusive of the many talented people working in the orchestral sector’, and are inviting proposals for sessions, speakers, workshops and peer-to-peer events.
